So, everyone has their own opinions. I personally don't like the album, and that's fine. But I also want to shed light about Melanie Martinez. She has been accused of rape by another artist, who has been denied and doxxed to oblivion by her fans and denied time to explain herself. The alleged victim came out with the statement in late 2017 and was harassed to the point where she was forced to delete all her social media. It was absolutely terrible. Melanie made a diss track which mostly accused her of piggybacking off of her success, and admitted that the situation happened in a statement before denying it later. I recommend you do your own research on this situation. A video I don't recommend is by The Crow, a popular video shared around by Melanie fans forever as proof. The video is terribly made, basically falling into the 'i was raped and that didn't happen to me, so it isn't valid' stigma and accusing the alleged victim of racism and implying pedophilia despite irrelevance. While yes, I personally believe the victim, you can make your own mind up on it. I know about separating the art from the artist, and while I don't like the music, it doesn't have anything to do with the accusations. Please do research into Melanie and what she's done. The alleged victim has been sent death threats and treated terribly without anyone going through with an unbiased opinion.
